BFRO organizers bring participants to areas where
they will have encounters with Bigfoots at night. The odds of
success depend on their selection of locations, among other
things. Selecting the best locations depends upon
sighting/encounter information -- the more, the better -- so the
BFRO selects organizers who have the most information in a given
state, and who have experience organizing trips there.
The best organizer in Tennessee is Lori Wade.
Lori Wade is very popular as an
expedition organizer. She picks good spots and gets action almost every
time. As a result she has
developed a large following. If you are a newbie then
your only chance to be accepted for her trips is if you register early.
The
BFRO now encourages participants to come with video cameras that can
record in total darkness -- thermal cameras.
If this will be your
first expedition then you will be able to try out the thermal cameras
brought by others who have atteneded many expeditions over the years.
If you have attened many expeditions over the years then we don't need
to tell you how helpful a thermal camera is for your peace of mind ... in
the dark woods at night, if nothing else. But we do need to tell you have
much cheaper and better thermal cameras are nowadays.
Not long ago
the high resolution thermal cameras were very expensive -- beyond the
reach of most people. Nowadays however hi-res theraml cameras only cost as much as really good
photo camera -- less than $1,000. Hi-res thermal cameras are less
than $1,000 now ... because the BFRO sells them for close to wholesale price,
basically straight from a Taiwanese manufacturer.

You will not regret owning one of those devices. A good thermal video
camera is MUCH more useful when trying to spot animals than even the best nightvision video camera.
