Possible daylight sighting by boy near Meridian

My brother and I spent the summer helping my Uncle build a house in Meridian , Mississippi. We were there for a month or so when I had an encounter.
I had gone into the woods some distance (one half mile?) from the home with a BB gun. I was by myself at the time and remember seeing something moving very quickly (as if on a dirtbike or motorcycle) crossing me at an angle to my left. I remember thinking the rider was wearing a brown helmet and brown leather coat watching it jump and moving very fast through the thick forest. As I watched I realized there was no sound from an engine, only the sound of snapping sticks as it went by. I was terrified at the idea that I had seen a bigfoot or whatever and ran back to the house and never spoke of it to anyone (at the time). OTHER WITNESSES: myself TIME AND CONDITIONS: It was before noon after it had rained earlier that morning. There wasnt alot of direct sunlight because of the thick forest. Follow-up investigation report by BFRO Investigator John G. Callender:
I spoke with the witness for approximately thirty-five minutes about his encounter near Meridian. He and his brother had gone to Mississippi to help his uncle build a house, but he’s not certain of the county in which the home was located. All he can remember was that it was approximately a twenty minute drive into Meridian. His uncle, grandmother, and grandfather lived off a two lane road that was surrounded by thick woods and lots of kudzu.
The witness walked into the woods behind the home with a BB gun just before noon. He was standing completely still and leaning against a tree when he initially saw what he thought was a person on a dirt bike. The subject was observed to be moving very quickly at an angle across his field of vision. It didn’t take him long to realize there was no noise that should have been associated with a dirt bike. Also, the witness said the woods were very thick and it would have been difficult to impossible for anyone to get into the area in question on a dirt bike, especially at the speed with which it was moving. Right after he noticed the movement of the subject, he heard the “crunch, crunch, crunch” as it quickly moved through the woods, breaking sticks and branches as it ran.
The animal was fifty to one hundred yards from him. His entire encounter lasted “thirty seconds at the most”. He never smelled anything unusual nor does he recall of ever hearing any unusual noises near his uncle’s home.
