• September 2016 (Class A) - Tracks found and casts made beside a spring on an old farm near Glady (Photo attempt of daytime sighting attached)
• August 2013 (Class B) - Possible vocalizations heard from the Bear Heaven Campground east of Elkins
• August 2008 (Class B) - Possible nighttime encounter while raccoon hunting outside Valley Head
• July 2003 (Class B) - Possible whoops heard in logging area outside the Monongahela National Forest
• January 2007 (Class B) - Possible vocalizations heard by backpackers in Otter Creek Wilderness
• January 2005 (Class A) - Woman and daughter recall their close daytime encounter at their home east of Elkins
• July 2000 (Class B) - Family hears possible vocals on summer nights at their home near Dolly Sods Wilderness Area
• September 1997 (Class A) - Dolly Sods; Tracks seen, loud screams and strange odor detected.
• November 1989 (Class A) - Sightings by two hunters in tree stands outside Elkwater
