LOCATION DETAILS: the camp sight sits in the forest about 3-4 miles from the main highway

NEAREST TOWN: leavensworth

NEAREST ROAD: Highway 2

OBSERVED: It was several years ago and I was camping with my family. We were camping in the Wenacthee national forest. Are camp sight was near fish lake. It was about 9:30-10:00 p.m. we were all sitting by the fire when we all heard this loud whistling screaming type noise. It was really loud when we first heard it. it then started fading of soon after it started.

ALSO NOTICED: later that night I heard noises like I had heard ealier but you could tell that they were way off in the distance.

OTHER WITNESSES: 6 people witnessed the noise. we were all talking around the fire

OTHER STORIES: the people we were camping with told us that they had heard noises simialar to the ones that night few months before.

TIME AND CONDITIONS: 9:30-10:00 p.m.
The forest was pitch black and the sky was clear with stars in it.

ENVIRONMENT: The area were this occured in a pine forest. from the camp sight in the north is a high ridge in the south is the lake and east and west is dense forest.

In speaking with the witness, he had a few more details to add:

When the first scream was heard, it was very close 100 to 150 ft. in his estimate. The witness stated it was a very loud, rumbling, bassy scream. He later heard a vocalization on the internet from Kentucky, and said it sounded exactly like the one he heard. He said it gave him the chills. He also had his mother listen to it. I have been to the location of the scream which is on the least used side of the lake, backed up by a steep, heavily wooded 5000' - 6000' ridge that leads back to Glacier Peak Wilderness. Many stories have been told all over this area.
