Follow-up investigation report by BFRO Investigator Scott Taylor:
I called an interviewed this witness over the phone.
The witness was camping with friends at the Peterson Prairie Campground. She heard a very loud vocalization described as a scream/howl. She said that it went from a higher pitched howl sound to a low tone. It was a long and drawn-out call, similar to the Ohio howl which can be found on our website. It repeated three times.
I asked if she was sure it was not a barred owl. She said that no, it was not. She is sure of that.
I asked if she could tell the direction it came from. She said no, but it was very close to them. They were in campsite #8, which is in the middle of the campground.
This is an area that is known for having a lot of sasquatch activity. I know of other people who camped at this same campground and have heard vocalizations as well has having rocks thrown at them. I personally have investigated nine reports from the region.
The vocalizations that she described were similar to what I heard on my initial encounter in 2005. They are consistent with other reports from all over the country and which I have heard on several occasions. I do believe that what she heard was a sasquatch.
