COUNTY: Snohomish County
LOCATION DETAILS: Near White Horse Mt.
NEAREST TOWN: Darrington
NEAREST ROAD: FR18
OBSERVED: Two boys came home to their mother and were crying because their feet were cold and wet from walking barefoot in snow. When asked why they did that they replied that all the other boys were doing it also because they saw footprints in the snow first. The mother went to see for her self and found 19" human like tracks in two feet of snow. Photographs were taken of the impressions.
OTHER WITNESSES: Kids were riding bikes on dirt road with snow on it.
TIME AND CONDITIONS: The snow came about a week and a half ago.

Follow-up investigation report:
From the files of Richard Noll:
Found what appeared to be 19" tracks crossing over a hill off to the left of the snow covered dirt road. The indentations sank into crusted snow 3" and then another 1.5" into ice. There was another 3' of snow below that. All the tracks were covered with a 1", two day old frosting of snow, so they were easy to spot and then clean out. The track way led down from the top of a slashed hill to the dirt road where we lost them. The tracks had a step of 5.5' to 6.5'. The trackway traveled about 10' from the wood line with a west heading. There were 25 tracks visible.
