Participants
There were more than one dozen BFRO members and roughly two dozen
non-member participants.
Most of the BFRO members were from the WA-BFRO crew. They had attended
one or both of the 2004 Washington expeditions, and have been exploring
various areas since meeting on those expeditions. Their familiarity
with this part of the peninsula, and the methodologies of the expeditions,
made for a smooth orientation of non-member participants.
The non-member participants represented an eclectic mix of backgrounds,
typical of BFRO expeditions. Among the group were active duty military
professionals (3), college professors (2), wildlife researchers
(2), authors (2), journalist (1), attorney (1), hunters and trackers
(5), pilots (2), business managers (4), movie actress (1), tattoo
artist (1), bicycle designers (2); and various loggers, fisherman,
truckers, and carpenters.
The following countries / nationalities were represented: US, Canada,
Belgium, Sweden, England, and Germany.
The journalist listed above was from the London
Daily Telegraph. He has delivered his article about the expedition
to the Daily Telegraph but it has not yet been published.
The movie actress listed above was Gina Philips (for photos and
filmography, click here).
She came with her father, who registered both of them for the expedition.
