(Show Printer-friendly Version)

YEAR: 2023

SEASON: Fall

MONTH: October

DATE: 31

STATE: Wisconsin

COUNTY: Ashland County

LOCATION DETAILS: [Investigator (MM) Notes:
Approximate location of incident:
46.180880, -90.973834 ]

NEAREST TOWN: Clam Lake

NEAREST ROAD: County Road M

OBSERVED: On October 31st 2023 about 11:00 am I was traveling with my sister from Cable Wisconsin to Clam Lake Wisconsin. We were on County Road M. We were about 3 miles west of Clam lake. I saw what I thought was a person standing on the side of the road about a mile or more away. This was on a hill on the road. I mentioned it to my sister wondering what some one was doing there because it is in the national forest. She looked up from her phone and noticed it.

As we got closer the figure started to cross the road. I again mentioned what someone was doing there and said that there are no mailboxes or houses in that area. As we approached more I said that this is very tall person and what is he doing dressed all in black. My sister did not acknowledge that statement as she was looking at her phone. As we approached the crest of the hill I slowed way down and looked in my rearview mirror and a car was approaching fairly fast.

I looked to my left and about 40-50 feet into the woods was a very tall hairy black animal looking at the car that was obviously a bigfoot. We made eye contact I felt. I shouted to my sister look it is a bigfoot. She looked up and looked to the right not seeing the animal as she looked in the wrong direction.

I slowed down to 15 -20 miles per hour and the car approaching crested the hill and was going fast. I had to speed up as to not have him hit me. I sped up and travelled down the hill and it was swampy on both sides so I could not turn around. I wish I would have. I got a clear view of the animal and could describe many the details. It was exciting and a bit scary at the time.

I got a very good look at the bigfoot and I could see top to bottom as there was only a small trunked tree between us. This was not a costume!!!!

I have traveled thru that area many times since. Once I asked a woman if there had been any sightings and she said yes several people have talked of sightings

ALSO NOTICED: at least 8 feet tall dark skin leathery looking ,dark eyes

OTHER WITNESSES: Yes my sister. She was looking at her phone as always.

OTHER STORIES: Yes about 2 months ago I asked a convience store worker if there had been any sightings and she said yes several people have talked about seeing bigfoot

TIME AND CONDITIONS: 11:00 am clear sunny day

ENVIRONMENT: Wooded, hard wood National Forrest

Summary of Events

• Initial Observation:
While driving near the crest of a hill on County M, Dewane observed a figure standing on the south side of the road. He initially assumed it was a person but found the location odd due to the absence of mailboxes or residences.

• Movement of Subject:
As the vehicle approached, the figure crossed the road from south to north. Dewane alerted his sister, who was looking at her phone. She looked up and witnessed the final moments of the figure entering the woods.

• Physical Description (as reported by Dewane):
o Approximate distance at closest point: ~40 feet
o Height: Very tall; stood above roadside brush
o Eyes: Eye contact made; sclera appeared brownish
o Hands: Dark with dark nails
o Nose: Flat in shape
o Mouth: Not observed
o Color: All black
o Gender: No visible indicators of female anatomy
