LOCATION DETAILS: Logging road near Indian land and creek deep in the woods

NEAREST TOWN: Pelican lake

NEAREST ROAD: Hwy 45

OBSERVED: Northern Wisconsin: We saw something big, smelly, and brown with long straggly hair and after 20 plus years it's like yesterday. I took foot castings and gave them to the DNR but never heard back.

It was not a bear, it walked away from us very fast but did not run.

ALSO NOTICED: It was not life threatening.

OTHER WITNESSES: 5 others but they will not talk about it

OTHER STORIES: I talked to a Tribal Elder from Mole Lake. They have sighted it also, and said to leave it alone.

TIME AND CONDITIONS: 10 am

ENVIRONMENT: Hardwoods and swamps all around, he went into the swamp we were unable to follow.

Follow-up investigation report:

The other witnesses refuse to talk about the sighting. The main witness stated that the animal was observed for roughly 15 seconds. The witness feels the animal was aware of their presence. It disappeared into the pines when they tried to follow it. Bears frequent the area when blueberries are in season. There was one footprint cast, given to DNR. The witness also noted one footprint on the bottom of a stream in the clay. No vocals were heard.

The witness also mentioned that he had contacted Peter Byrne regarding his experience and was told that bigfoot was limited to the PNW and that he had to have seen something else. So he sat it on the shelf until submitting to our site.
