Motorist has daylight sighting on GA-75 between Helen and Cleveland

SEASON: Spring MONTH: March STATE: Georgia COUNTY: White County LOCATION DETAILS: About .2 miles north of Duncan Bridge (Hwy 384) NEAREST TOWN: Helen,GA NEAREST ROAD: GA 75 OBSERVED: Bigfoot sighting.
Late March or early April, 2009. Approximately 1815 hours.
I was southbound on GA75 between Helen and Cleveland, GA about .2 of a mile north of Duncan Bridge, (Hwy 384). As I rounded a bend I saw something getting ready to cross the road from east to west. As I slowed my first thought was that someone was dressed in a costume, but I dismissed that idea because every pickup around here had a shotgun in the back window and a good percentage, like myself, had a gun in the car. When he heard me he stopped on the shoulder. He did not look at me for a few seconds, but then slowly he turned toward me, looked, then continued to turn 180 degrees and walk into the woods. I was unable to pull off to the shoulder and park because of hay bales and plastic used to stop erosion. Traffic was backing up behind me so I drove to Duncan Bridge then left on a private road, with the hope of seeing him again. No luck.
What I saw. He appeared to be 6 foot 2 to 6 foot 4. He was standing erect but had a slightly hollow chest. His legs and torso seemed normal (as compared to a human) but his arms were longer. His fur was full and sleek. It had a shine to it. A medium to light brown. He looked healthy.
It was his eyes that I remember most. He looked at me with an intelligence that you don't see in an animal. The only other time I experienced that was with a dolphin.
I contacted DNR the next day. They had not received other sightings.
I know the lady that submitted your report #7237. I called her and we compared notes. Even though the two sightings were only .2 miles apart, seems like a different animal. OTHER WITNESSES: No OTHER STORIES: Your Ref #7237 TIME AND CONDITIONS: Approximately 1815 Sun behind the trees. ENVIRONMENT: Woods on east side, hill cleared for power lines then woods on west side.

Follow-up investigation report by BFRO Investigator David Bakara:
I spoke with the witness by phone and he was careful and methodical in his description of the animal he saw.
He was driving south on GA75 on a clear evening. It was approx. 6:15 pm and still 2 hours from dusk, when he noticed what he thought was a person in costume standing along the left shoulder preparing to cross. As he approached, he noticed it was not, instead it was an erect creature, 6'2" to 6'4". It was covered in light to medium brown hair. As he neared the creature, it turned toward him and looked right at him, then continued to turn and walk towards the woods. He later thought this odd, as he would expect an animal to turn way from him. The witness stated he sensed an intelligence behind its brown eyes. At the closest, he was 35' away, but his windows were rolled up, so he never noticed any odor. He further described it as having a slightly caved chest, with arms slightly longer than a man of the same height. It seemed healthy, but not particularly muscular in nature. He also described the skin under the hair as the same color as the hair, light to medium brown. He could not describe the way the creature walked as he began searching for his phone at this point, hoping to get a picture. When he looked back, he was already out of view. He was prevented from pulling over and stopping by hay bales and plastic along his side of the road shoulder, used for erosion control.
