Large, black creature seen running across road on two legs (Show Printer-friendly Version) YEAR: 1976 SEASON: Summer MONTH: June DATE: 10 PROVINCE: British Columbia COUNTRY: Canada NEAREST TOWN: near McBride OBSERVED: A large, black creature ran across the road on two legs and down through the mountains. There were more than a dozen people who saw it. OTHER WITNESSES: The witnesses were driving down the road. (Note: the story above was told to me by my parents--I was not one of the witnesses.) ENVIRONMENT: The Frasier river is nearby. The landscape is covered in dense forest and is situated between Jasper National Park and Wells Gray park.
