(Show Printer-friendly Version)
YEAR: 1980
SEASON: Unknown STATE: Washington COUNTY: Lewis County NEAREST TOWN: Packwood NEAREST ROAD: Hwy 12 OBSERVED: Tracks, 13-14 inches long, 6-7 inches wide, 5 toes. ALSO NOTICED: Several years before supposedly a bear came through the back area of the High Valley Country club making a lot of noise and scaring a lot of people. I think it's very possible the bear was actually a sasquatch. Bears don't scream and run around the middle of the night making ungodly noises. I was not there but Neighbors in the area told me about it. OTHER WITNESSES: Cutting wood. ENVIRONMENT: Edge of a clear cut overlooking Packwood from the south. A & G References: Pg. 48, D3
