Possible vocalizaitons heard approx. two miles from Sabbath Day Point

SEASON: Spring MONTH: May DATE: 5/11/2002 STATE: New York COUNTY: Warren County LOCATION DETAILS: (exact location withheld by request) NEAREST TOWN: sabbath day point NEAREST ROAD: route 9N OBSERVED: This was recorded very soon after it happened in our camp journal. It was the weekend of May 11th 2002. My wife and I were at our seasonal camp on Lake George for the early season. We had bed for the night in front of the fireplace. There were only a few lights belonging to other early season camps across the lake. It was a calm night. My wife was sound asleep. She often sleeps through thunder storms. I was up throughout the night. I was awake for the sound of the first scream.
The first cycle did not wake my wife unfortunately the second closer scream did. Someting screamed four times in the distance. Thirty seconds later it screamed again, on our property. We have less than a quarter acre of land. The time was around 2:30am. Thirty seconds to a minute later it screamed for the last time in the distance at a third location.
The scream was in an evenly spaced pattern of four screams. Each scream was about three to five seconds apart. The volume was that of human sized lungs. However, there was no attempt to form words or partial words. The scream did not change pitch. It sounded much like a human female. There was no sound of the creature crashing through the woods. Please note that a few years back a similar sound was heard by a camp only five down from us. Other sitings have occured very near to my camp. The screams made the hair on our necks stand up. Very frightening. There have also been sightings of mountain lions in the area. However, sounds of the mountian lion's scream were not like the screams we heard.
ALSO NOTICED: There was no sound of the creature in the woods. No breaking of twigs or moving of leaves. No sound at all other than the screams. OTHER WITNESSES: My wife was a witness to the scream. She was asleep and was woken up by the close scream OTHER STORIES: Please see above. several sightings have occured less than a mile of my camp. Also just down the road there was a report of similar sounds several years ago. TIME AND CONDITIONS: 2:30am
calm night, cool, no rain or wind ENVIRONMENT: Adirondack woods. Several summer camps located on the water of Lake George. Behind the camp and across the road is a very desolate mountain called Bloomer MT.

1. Report #15565
The second incident occurred on May 11, 2002 at 2:30 a.m. Three to four screams were heard about five seconds apart. It sounded somewhat like a human female, but, more powerful and blood curdling. At first, the witness thought it was a some type of bird, but, quickly dismissed that idea because of the sheer volume of sound, as if coming from a big animal. The witness believes the screams were coming from three different animals; one was very close to his camp, the others were as much as two miles away. The witness speculated they were either calling to each other or was territorial in nature.
2. Report #15566
The first incident occurred on March 31, 2006 around noon. The witness hiked into a pond southwest of Sabbath Day Point. Approximately 300 yards further southwest of his position, he heard a very loud and powerful, "sing-song" type of vocalization. This vocalization went on for a continuous two minutes. The witness described it almost speech-like, as if the creature was carrying on a conversation. But, the witness could not hear any reply in return.
