YEAR: 1986

SEASON: Summer

MONTH: June

STATE: Oklahoma

COUNTY: Delaware County

LOCATION DETAILS: take 59/20/10 to jay,ok
on east side of square take road that goes to left behind delaware county bank.go about 3.5 miles to curve on dirt road directly below boys ranch home

NEAREST TOWN: jay,oklahoma

NEAREST ROAD: brushcreek road off east side of town square

OBSERVED: when i was 16 i lived in jay,ok.me and three friends would go out at night to brush creek in the summer to fish and swim.one summer night in june of 1986 we decided to go fishing about 10 p.m.it was warm and a very still night, and a big full moon.
the area we went to on brush creek ran next to the
dirt road and at this curve in the road and bend in the creek was the gate to the field.the creek was about 30 feet from the gate.
upon arriving at the gate we discovered that all of our fishing gear was tangled up and two of us had flat tires on our bikes.and the dogs at the boys ranch house were going nuts barking and growling.they never acted that way to us before, even tho we where tresspassing and the house was about 25 yards up and back off the road.

we all commented on the dogs and told each other to be quite.we went thru the gate and laid our bikes down and started untangling fishing poles.

at this point one of my friends asked if someone passed gas,we all replied no.he said well something smells dead.then splashing in the creek caught our attention.one said it is a raccoon,i looked and said be quite and don't move.they asked why and all i could do was point.then one said a bear,i told them bigfoot!

that is when i noticed a sasquatch standing in the creek 20 feet away from us bathing.he would bend down, get water in his hands and splash it in his face.then he would bend down and and get water and pour it on his head.

i could see from mid-chest up on this animal.he had a huge head and was probally 9 foot tall.his arms where at least 5 foot long and had gigantic hands.he was facing the moon and we could all see the whites of his eyes.

after about 2 minutes of being this close and unnoticed,a very light breeze blew across us and the animal tilted his head back and looked up.he
inhaled twice very deep and then threw his hands up and let out a ear shattering yell and started comming up over the creek bank at us.

it had yellowish-brown hair a stunk very badly.

the animal got within 10 feet of us grabbing at us and swinging its arms at us and trying to grab us.

we all started yelling and running and the animal
turned and took of running south with very fast and light strides, turning to look at us every few seconds.

we all grabbed our bikes and started back down the dirt road to jay.two of us had flat tires and had to run carring our bikes.i was one of them and i beat everyone else back to town.

we never went back there again.we told an old indian man about it and he said"that is what i told you.a skeely lives there and you better stay out of there at night."

whatever it was made a beliver out of us.

OTHER WITNESSES: 3
