Report # 36830  (Class A)
Submitted by witness on Sunday, October 28, 2012.
Multiple witnesses watch figure cross road near Nashville, Ohio

YEAR: 2012

SEASON: Summer

MONTH: June

DATE: 28

STATE: Ohio

COUNTY: Holmes County

LOCATION DETAILS: About a half mile west of State Route 179 on the south side of the road near the edge of the xxxxxx Farm.

NEAREST TOWN: Nashville

NEAREST ROAD: State Route 39

OBSERVED: We were coming home from our grandson's baseball game on State Route 39 west of Nashville, Ohio. After passing State Route 179 and driving a short distance, something came out of a wooded area into a bean field and started to cross the road. The three of us saw it on the south side of the road just as it finished crossing the road. It turned and looked at us as we were passing and we could see it proceed up the bank into a wooded area. There was another car in front of us that slowed down obviously since they saw the same thing.

ALSO NOTICED: He was about 6 1/2 to 7 feet tall and a grayish brown in color when our headlights shined on it.

OTHER WITNESSES: My wife, our 11 year old grandson, and I.

TIME AND CONDITIONS: Sighting was after 11:00 PM. The area was in drought conditions and the soil was very hard.

ENVIRONMENT: Hot and dry. Heavily wooded area with soy beans on both sides of the road. The soy bean fields were lined with thick tree lines on their perimeter.

Follow-up investigation report by BFRO Investigator Marc DeWerth:

These people came to my lecture at the Homes County Library in October 2012 and told me about their sighting. It was truly a hair-raising experience after a long baseball tournament for their grandson. One thing that really stood out was how easily the creature went up on the steep embankment with very little effort. Not too long after telling all the details of their sighting, they mentioned that there was another vehicle in front of them that stopped to witness the same thing. Within a few minutes, a lady stood up and said she was the one in the other vehicle and agreed 100% that in fact they all saw the same Bigfoot.

See report Report #39360 for more detailed information.

This area of Ohio consists of the Mohican Memorial Forest and multiple large water sources. The BFRO Ohio team has been very busy with an abundance of new reports over the last 12 months and will continue to investigate the area.
