OBSERVED: I was playing in the woods outside of the town of Jefferson when a group of us heard some strange noises in the woods.

When we investigated to see if it was the other members of our group, we saw a large hairy creature moving away from us rapidly.

We first thought it was a bear, but it was not shaped like a bear and could run upright.

We all ran home at that moment and never saw nor heard anything like it again.

ALSO NOTICED: Not that I can remember at this time... its hard to say this many years after the incident.

OTHER WITNESSES: We were playing hide-and-go-seek/army in the woods.

TIME AND CONDITIONS: Approximately 15 years ago... sometime in late September or early October. I remember the leaves were just starting to change.

ENVIRONMENT: The environment is densely wooded area with many hills and valleys. There was a creek near by and also so railroad tracks.

I am not sure of the Long. & Lat., but it was just east of the town of Jefferson in Greene County, PA.
