Monday, June 21, 1982 'Bigfoot' Sighting Reported by Ranger Post Sun Main News
WALLA WALLA, Wash.(UPI) - A Forest Service employee says he saw a tall, reddish-brown "bigfoot" creature with a "rank odor" wandering about in a closed-access watershed area.
Paul Freeman, a watershed rider for the government, reported he had sighted the creature on Friday in the Tiger creek area 25 miles north of Walla Walla, a Forest Service spokesman said.
Footprints left by the 'bigfoot' measured 14 inches long and 7 inches wide, the spokesman said. He said Freeman had reported noticing a rank odor as the creature approached. The employee said the creature was ape-like, was covered with reddish-brown hair, except for its face and walked on its hind legs.
