Report # 77762  (Class A)
Submitted by witness Becky Anglin on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.
FIVE DAYS AGO (10/09/2024): Daylight sighting of a sasquatch on railroad tracks 60 miles northeast of Houston

YEAR: 2024

SEASON: Fall

MONTH: October

DATE: 9

STATE: Texas

COUNTY: Liberty County

LOCATION DETAILS: Crossing the tracks on 2650.

[Investigator (MM Notes:]

GPS Coordinates for spot on the train tracks: 30.446692, -94.735863

NEAREST TOWN: Rye

NEAREST ROAD: 2650

OBSERVED: I was driving over the train tracks towards my house. I alway look down the tracks to see if anything is coming. I saw a really large figure at the tracks. He step over the tracks with 1 step. Then took 2 more steps into the woods. The figure was about 9 feet tall. He was about 100 yards away.

ALSO NOTICED: He took 1 step over the tracks. A grown adult can’t take 1 step over the tracks.

OTHER WITNESSES: 1 adult and possibly a 4 year old. I was driving over the train tracks.

OTHER STORIES: I have heard 1 personally by my house holler at me. That was over a year ago.

TIME AND CONDITIONS: Around 4:00pm

ENVIRONMENT: It was crossing the train tracks towards the front of the subdivision.

Follow-up investigation report by BFRO Investigator Matthew Moneymaker:

I spoke with witness Becky Anglin by phone. She was driving home around 4:00pm on October 9, 2024. Her home is roughly two miles north from this spot. Her four year old son was in a car seat in back.

She was heading north on 2650 (see maps) when she passed over the railroad tracks. She looked both ways on the tracks to see if a train was coming. To her right (east side of road) she sees a very tall figure down the tracks less than 100 yard away. It is walking very quickly from the tracks toward the trees (see railroad photo below marked with yellow arrow).

The figure was heading south, in the opposite direction that she was driving.

Becky was talking on the phone with her mother. When Becky saw the figure she started screaming to her mother on the phone "There's a bigfoot on the tracks !!! Oh my God!! I see a bigfoot !!"

Becky continued home and told her husband. She returned to the location the next day and walked down the tracks to look where she had seen the figure. She didn't see any footprints, but after walking to where it crossed she concluded it was less than 100 yards down the railroad tracks from the road.

This occurred in daylight. The creature was big enough and close enough for her to clearly see that it was covered with fur, and that it had long arms and legs, but she was not close enough to see details of the face.

She said the color of fur was similar to the color of the creosote covered telephone poles.

I questioned her carefully about what the figure was doing, exactly, when she first spotted it. The main issue is whether it had been walking along the railroad tracks, or whether it was just crossing the tracks at that moment.

It is helpful to know where a sasquatch actually walks along railroad tracks.

She said although it was "right at the tracks" when she first spotted it ... its forward momentum made her think it was already moving in that direction, rather than just starting to move in the direction away from the tracks.

Even if it was not walking along the railroad tracks at that moment she spotted it, it is likely that it walks along those railroad tracks at times, as has been observed elsewhere.

This location is in southeast Texas. The highest concentration of bigfoot sightings in Texas is in this part of the state.

Becky allowed me to disclose her name and said she would come onto the BFRO's official Facebook page to answer questions in the comments.
