MONTH: November
STATE: Ohio
COUNTY: Portage County
NEAREST TOWN: Edinburgh
NEAREST ROAD: Tallmadge Rd.
OBSERVED: Tracked large, human like tracks in mud along soybean field next to stand of old white birch trees laden with grape vines and underbrush. Tracks entered forest at corner of field. Tracked a 100 yards through the forest and out into a clearing. Ground was padded with dog prints in about a 50 foot circle. Blood all over the ground. Tracks led into a bog.
OTHER WITNESSES: My father was with me when we tracked. Newspaper would have the woman's name in car.
TIME AND CONDITIONS: In December, an article was published in the Record-Courier about a large, hairy creature running beside a car on Stroup road a few mile from where I tracked spotted tracks.
ENVIRONMENT: Rural farmland mixed with forests and swamplands. Tracked along edge of soybean field and large stand of white birch. One of the highest elevations in county.
