OBSERVED: On October 20th 1979 we saw a dark form cross the road as we headed out grouse hunting in Marionette county. It crossed where there were no roads or house. It was one solid color not carrying any gun or fishing rod. The time was approximately 6:45 a.m. Back then my dad had doubts about it as we were traveling with my dad, brother and I and at the time my brother and I thought it was a Bigfoot. However, 30 years later my dad swears it was a bigfoot.

OTHER WITNESSES: 2. 3 total.

OTHER STORIES: Hunting in same area that deer season, also saw large footprints he could not identify.

TIME AND CONDITIONS: skies were clear but it was just around after sunrise.

ENVIRONMENT: Creek bottom..

Follow-up investigation report by BFRO Investigator Rick Reles:

I spoke with Dave about the experience he and his father and brother had in 1979. He described the subject they saw as walking upright, leaning into its gait, with long swinging arms. Dark in color, very large, They saw it for approx. 5 seconds, at a distance of 75 yards. Described movement to that of the Bigfoot in the Patterson-Gimlin film. They waited many years at the dismissal of their father, to only recently report their account to the BFRO.
