Daylight roadside sighting near Eufala

YEAR: 2009

SEASON: Summer

MONTH: June

DATE: 19

STATE: Oklahoma

COUNTY: McIntosh County

LOCATION DETAILS: We were traveling South on the Indian Nation Turnpike and my daughter was sitting behind the drivers seat looking out the window, so she was looking East.

NEAREST TOWN: Heneretta & Eufaula Ok.

NEAREST ROAD: Indian Nation Turnpike

OBSERVED: Me and my kids was traveling to Idabel Ok. June 19,2009. We took I-40 to Heneretta Ok. and then went South on the Indian Nation Turnpike, when my daughter 17yrs. said "mom I think I just seen Bigfoot or something walking into the woods, I asked her what was it and she stated that whatever she saw looked like a man but had brownish hair all over it's body. I asked her did she see it's face and she said she could only see the back of it's head walking into the trees, she said it caught her attention because the trees in that area didn't have branches or leaves on the bottom part of the tree only at the top, so she could see it real good. I didn't think much about it until we were on our way back home and as we approached the area where she said she saw something I noticed a sign that said, " Eufaula Exit" and then I remembered seeing a special on cable about Bigfoot sightings in Oklahoma and one of the places that talked about was Eufaula.

ALSO NOTICED: Nothing

OTHER WITNESSES: Just my daughter saw it.

OTHER STORIES: Only the special on cable.

TIME AND CONDITIONS: Daytime about 3:30pm, and it was sunny and hot a very clear day.

ENVIRONMENT: Trees on both sides of the highway.

Follow-up investigation report by BFRO Investigator Tim Sermons:

I spoke with the witness and her daughter (who actually had the sighting). The daughter stated that she was shocked and amazed by what she saw. She then asked me if they were dangerous and asked for general information about these creatures, as she did not think they were in Oklahoma. She gave me details that can be added to the report. The creature was approximately 7 foot tall and very wide, wider than a man. It was walking into the woods and the witness saw the back side of the creature. The hair color was light brown and the hair was not too long (around 3 inches). She stated the hair looked like fur. The total sighting time was between 3 to 5 seconds.
