YEAR: 1994
SEASON: Summer
MONTH: July
PROVINCE: British Columbia
COUNTRY: Canada
LOCATION DETAILS: China Beach on the south west coast of Vancouver Island, about a one and a half hours drive out of Victoria and not far from a town called Sooke.
NEAREST TOWN: Sooke
OBSERVED: This is not a detailed account but was what I was told while hollidaying or vactioning as you might say. I was spending the day with friends on the beach at a place called China beach and met a guy who had spent a long time in the summer living on the beach. It was a long beach with dense covered forest all around. He stated that he had seen a sasquatch about a month before. It had come onto the beach in full daylight before spotting him and then speeding back of into the forrest. All I can recall is that he said it was very dark in colour. He seemed to me to be a bit of a hippy but all the same seemed very sincere. I am a UK resident and was there in the summer of 1994 - arround early july.
OTHER WITNESSES: The guy was living on the beach with a bunch of his friends. There was a few of them, women and men - all seemed to be hippy throw backs as I can remember. But must stress that the one guy who claims to have seen the sasquatch was very sincere.
