Follow-up investigation report by BFRO Investigator Blaine McMillan :

I contacted the witness and spoke to her at length about the two incidents that she had at the farm in Manitoba where she grew up. As I talked to her I found her to be very honest with the ability to recall minute details of the incidents.

Both sightings occured when she was a little girl. In the first incident she was at the family farm picking Saskatoon berries with her mother. Her mother was standing five or six steps in front of her, deeper in the Saskatoon bushes and she, herself was standing on the perifery of the bushes. They had been picking berries only for a few minutes when she felt as if she was being observed. She looked to the right and less than 15 feet away was a large hair covered creature that was also standing in front of the berry bushes. She had not seen nor heard it approach their position and she believes that it may have already been standing in the bushes when they had come out to harvest the berries.

The witness described it as being reddish brown in colour and twice as tall as she was- this would place it at close or just over seven feet tall. Because of the very close proximity to her she could tell that it had hair and not fur. It's entire body was covered in hair except for its face and the palms of its hands, which she described as black and leathery. It was very broad and thick through the body and it appeared to have no neck. The witness stated that it was quite calmly picking the berries off of the branches and eating them. To accomplish this it had pulled down a higher branch with its left hand and was gently plucking individual Saskatoon berries with its right hand before placing them in its mouth.

The witness stated that as she observed this creature she was trying to attract her mother's attention. When her mother turned and looked in the direction indicated by the witness she screamed and dragged her daughter away into the farm house. The witness did not see the sasquatch leave the area but it may have left going back through Saskatoon bushes.

Several days later the witness was riding her bicycle on a road near the family farm. On her right was a fence bordering a pasture and beyond that was a small slough or pond with brush on the other side. As she rode along she heard an animal crashing through the bush. The sound made her think that a cow or a horse maybe be in distress so she stopped her bike to investigate. It was at this point that a large apelike creature emerged from the bush and began quickly coming through the slough in her direction. She stated that she was terrified and afraid that she might not get away from it on her bike. The witness remembers that the second sasquatch was larger than the first, being a dark brown in colour and appeared to be angry by the way it was acting.

For the next several years the witness could not fathom what these two creatures actually were. She firmly believed that they were gorillas that may have escaped from a travelling circus or animal act. It was not until a number of years later, when she had seen a display about gorillas at the Winnipeg Zoo, that she realized what she had seen at her farm had not been an escaped circus animal but something quite real and natural.
