OBSERVED: One day at about 3:00 p.m. my friend and I, Shaun, were out riding his four wheeler back in the woods. We stopped and turned off the four- wheeler for about 20 minutes and went walking. When we got back we were just about to turn on the four wheeler when we heard a call that sounded like some kind of primate call. Then I remembered when I was watching the history channel about bigfoot and the people recorded a call from bigfoot and they played it and it sounded just like what I just heard.
OTHER WITNESSES: There was one other witness sitting there listening with me.
TIME AND CONDITIONS: About 3:00 in the afternoon and there was some light but not much and it was kinda cold.
ENVIRONMENT: There was a creek and a canal and lots of trees.
Follow-up investigation report by BFRO Investigator Doug Ratliff:
Over the phone the witness described the vocalization as a whooping sound that lasted 8-10 seconds.
This was in a wooded area (oak trees) near his neighborhood. He reported that there is a creek running through this area deep enough to swim in.
They looked for tracks but didn't find any.
The witness's friend told him that after a snow fall his friend found unusually large footprints in the snow perhaps 16" in length.
